Owned and operated by a career Firefighter (Lieutenant) of 20 years, A Matter of the Heart possesses the knowledge, skill and enthusiasm needed to provide our students with the highest quality training and educational assistance necessary for success.
Owner Carl Godfrin is well versed as an instructor in both EMS and the Fire Service.  A Nationally Registered, Rhode Island and Massachusetts Paramedic, Carl has been teaching students in both fields for over 10 years, in various disciplines.  He possesses certifications as a R.I. State EMS Instructor Coordinator, a R.I State Fire Academy Instructor and a certified instructor for the American Heart Association in BLS, ACLS and PALS disciplines.
Carl's ability to blend learning and fun make his classes memorable and effective to those attending, as well as ease the stresses of continuing education.
